Aesthetic Asian Treatment is performed under local anaesthesia during a day treatment. If you are very nervous before the procedure, we can prescribe sedative medication. It is important that you feel comfortable during the procedure.
Asian eyelid surgery
On the day of your surgery, our surgeon carefully measures and marks the eyelids with a pen to determine where the crease will be. Local anaesthetic is then administered to completely numb the area. The anaesthetic works almost immediately, making the treatment virtually painless.
The procedure is performed using the open technique (also called incision technique). The surgeon makes an incision parallel to the lash line, just above the desired fold, and removes a crescent-shaped strip of skin and excess fat. A few internal sutures are used to suture the incised skin to the muscle to fix the crease. It gives a permanent eyelid crease and the scar falls into the crease making it minimally visible. However, compared to a regular ophthalmoplasty, you need a little more patience. The swelling is gone after a few weeks, but the crease needs to set and needs up to six months before it sinks nicely.
Buccal fat removal
Prior to the treatment, the buccal fatty tissue is felt. After anaesthesia is administered, which works almost immediately, a small incision is made on the inside of the mouth. The fat is removed through the incision, leaving no visible scarring. The wound is then sutured with soluble sutures.
After the treatment, after cooling down for a while, you may go home quietly. Please note that you are not allowed to participate in the wrong independently, so you must be collected.
