Aesthetic Asian Treatment
The Asian face is unique and may differ in its characteristics from Western faces. The Aesthetic Asian Treatment takes this into account and is the treatment for typical Asian features.
Asian faces can differ from Western faces in their characteristics. They have a clear bone structure and muscle mass compared to Western faces, but we also often hear that there is undesirable volume in the bottom of the face.
It is precisely because Asian and Western faces can be so fundamentally different, aesthetic treatments and cosmetic procedures must be tailored to the face and the person. Most surgeons around the world can work on Western faces, but few surgeons specialize in the Asian face.
At Skin + Surgery Clinics, Dr. Tha-In, herself of Asian descent, does specialize in the Asian face. She performs treatments that are perfectly tailored to different facial features and meet the needs of a wide audience.
Her experience and expertise come together in the Aesthetic Asian Treatment , an operation that the Asian eyelid correction </ a>, also known as a double eyelid correction or double eyelid, combines with buccal fat removal . This treatment addresses two distinctive elements of the face: a crease is created in the eye for larger eyes and an open look, and more contour and v-shape is created to subtly change the shape of the face.

Aesthetic Asian Treatment
Quality is our passion
Ma. until so. from 08:00 to 22:00
The Aesthetic Asian Treatment is always preceded by a no-obligation consultation. In a personal conversation with our surgeons in a relaxed setting you can ask all your questions, discuss your wishes and express your expectations about the treatment.
Our involved specialist assesses whether you are eligible for this treatment and provides you with a clear explanation of the procedure, the aftercare, the risks, the costs and the expected natural end result. Photos are taken before the treatment, which are later placed next to photos after the treatment.
We understand very well how you feel. A cosmetic procedure is something you may have been thinking about for years and now finally dare to take the step. We are happy to guide you in the process from A to Z. With a specially developed after-care protocol, you recover quickly with minimal swelling and bruising.
Have you become curious or do you have personal questions for the surgeon? Book a consultation without obligation. We are happy to help you.
The Aesthetic Asian Treatment is performed under local anesthetic during a day treatment. If you are very nervous about the procedure, we can prescribe sedative medication. It is important that you feel comfortable during the procedure.
On the day of your surgery, our surgeon carefully measures and uses a pen to mark the best place on your upper limb for a natural looking crease. Local anesthesia is then given to completely numb the area. The discomfort is minimal during the procedure.
The procedure is done using the open technique (also known as incisional technique). The surgeon makes an incision parallel to the lash line, just above the desired crease, and removes a crescent-shaped strip of skin and excess fat. Several internal stitches attach the incised skin to the aponeurosis to fix the fold. Then the skin is stitched together with a surface suture. This is the most reliable and effective technique, and almost everyone is a candidate for it. It gives a permanent eyelid crease and the scar falls into the crease making it minimal visible. The main drawback is a longer recovery time, with a few weeks of swelling – and often a few months of waiting to see the final result.
A small incision is made on the inside of the mouth to remove the buccal fat. This way there are no visible scars on the outside of the cheeks. The fat is removed through the incision. The wound is then stitched with dissolvable stitches.
Thanks to our many years of experience in performing cosmetic procedures, we work with a special pre- and aftercare protocol. This way you are optimally prepared and you recover without complications. Usually pain relief with paracetamol is sufficient after the operation. We advise you not to drive a car on the day of the procedure and as long as your view is obstructed. We advise you to cool for 15 minutes every hour on the day of the operation using a cool pack or a bag of green peas from the freezer. Place a piece of gauze between the eyes and the cooling element during cooling.
After surgery, you may experience bruising and swelling of the eyelids, which may prevent you from closing your eyes completely after surgery. This will recover once the swelling has subsided. You may not cut the ends of the stitches yourself. You can shower again the day after the operation. After showering, try to pat the wound dry and not wipe it.
You may not use contact lenses for 2 weeks. You can use make-up again after removing the stitches, when all crusts have disappeared. We recommend that you do not smoke until the stitches are removed. Smoking increases the risk of complications. We recommend that you do not expose the scars to UV sunlight and / or the tanning bed for 3 months after surgery.
As with any surgical procedure, there are potential complications with the Aesthetic Asian Treatment. This includes infection, bleeding and reaction to the anesthetic. The rare risks of this procedure include difficulty closing the eyes and dry eyes. In some cases there is a slight asymmetry of the eyes. This can be distressing during the healing process, but often levels out over time. If necessary, a skilled plastic surgeon can correct asymmetry, folds that are too high or too low, and folds that are too deep or shallow. When in doubt, always contact the specialists at Skin + Surgery Clinics.

Please note: Cosmetic procedures are now widely offered by clinics and healthcare professionals, often at competitive rates and with high discounts. Unfortunately, this often means that the procedure is not performed by an experienced surgeon. Always be well informed during a personal consultation and remember: if something seems too good to be true, it often is.

Frequently Asked Questions
You will see the results of an Asian eyelid surgery after two to three weeks, especially when the swelling starts to subside. Yet subtle changes still take place for several months. Keep in mind that due to swelling, the eye crease appears higher than where it eventually falls. It may therefore initially appear as if there are differences between the two eyes, but this corrects as the swelling subsides. The fold will eventually settle into the correct position.
There is a small, usually barely visible scar in the eyelid crease, along the incision line, that continues to improve for 12-18 months after surgery.
The results can take decades, but they can diminish over time as the aging process contributes to the loss of the limb contour.
The results of the buccal fat removal are optimal after 6 weeks, although the face continues to adapt to the new situation up to 6 months after the procedure.
As with any surgical procedure, there are potential complications with a double eyelid or Asian eyelid surgery. This includes infection, bleeding and reaction to the anesthetic. The rare risks of Asian eyelid surgery include difficulty closing the eyes and dry eyes. In some cases there is a slight asymmetry of the eyes. This can be distressing during the healing process, but often levels out over time. If necessary, a skilled plastic surgeon can correct asymmetry, folds that are too high or too low, and folds that are too deep or shallow.
The risks of buccal fat removal are also rare, but may include infection, bleeding, asymmetry, and nerve damage.
At least two check-ups always take place after this treatment at Skin + Surgery. We’ll see you after a week (about 7-9 days) to remove the Asian eyelid surgery stitches and see how you are doing. The doctor will then assess your recovery, wound healing, blueness and swelling. This is also the moment when the doctor will let you know if you can already start with the scar cream. You will come back after 5-6 weeks for a final check. The doctor then once again has a good picture of the course of your recovery and can then already properly assess the end result. Together we put the before and after photos side by side so that you can clearly see the difference of the procedure. If an extra check is required in the meantime or afterwards, you can of course schedule it with us.
This treatment costs € 2750 at Skin + Surgery Clinics. If you would like to have the procedures performed separately, the Asian eyelid correction is € 1350 and the buccal fat removal is € 1750.
This treatment is different from a standard eyelid correction or cosmetic surgery and requires detailed knowledge of the anatomy of the Asian face. So it is important to see a specialized and experienced surgeon.
Scars are easily concealed in your new lid folds.
Along with creating an upper eyelid crease, the procedure can lift the sagging eyelids.
The operation provides a larger “platform” for eyeshadow and makes eyeliner application easier. And because the excess skin often hangs over the eyelashes and the eyelashes appear shorter. The surgery can make the eyelashes appear longer.
It is a permanent solution for chubby cheeks, hamster cheeks or a round face.
By combining the treatments you only have one recovery time. It also brings a financial advantage than if you had the treatments performed separately.
It is important to realize that the procedure is more extensive than a regular eyelid correction. You will have more bruising and swelling. This can take 1-2 weeks. A specialized surgeon with knowledge and experience of the Asian face is also an absolute must.
The surgery makes your eyes look bigger, but your eyes themselves don’t really get bigger. During the consultation, our surgeon will show you with a mirror what you would look like after this procedure.
Because the crease is recreated on both eyes, there is a greater chance of eye asymmetry than the traditional procedure.
Because you combine two procedures, your recovery is more intensive.
