Liposuction with Lipolaser
A double chin can sometimes give a wrong impression of your actual lifestyle, as this does not always have to do with an unhealthy diet or lack of exercise. The trend tells us that many people ultimately switch to liposuction with lipolaser of the double chin. The neck area and therefore the double chin is 90% genetically determined. Nowadays we also look at ourselves more critically and find it more important than ever to feel good inside and out. We want a fresh and younger appearance. A double chin can make you insecure and prevent you from feeling comfortable in your own skin. A Liposuction with Lipolaser treatment may offer you the solution to permanently get rid of your double chin. You have probably done a lot of research about the technique that can be applied. But which treatment suits you best? And what exactly is the difference between Liposuction and Lipolaser?
Liposuction
At Liposuction of the neck our cosmetic surgeon uses a thin tube (also called a cannula) to suck out excess fat from the double chin, neck and around the jawline. This gives more definition to your face and brings back its natural contours. It is a specialised and precise technique, where only fat cells are aspirated. It is therefore a relatively safe procedure, with little risk of damaging surrounding cells or tissues. If there is sagging skin around the neck and or jawline, this treatment can also be combined with a facelift.
The operation
Liposuction of the neck is performed under an intoxication and local anaesthetic. You are therefore very sleepy and relaxed and will not experience much of the procedure. To remove the fat in the right places, the surgeon makes a small incision under your chin and near your ear. From here, the cannula can be inserted to aspirate the fat under the chin, down the neck and along the jawline. This will bring back your natural facial contour. The entire procedure takes about an hour.
The incisions are skilfully stitched and you are allowed to go home after a rest in our recovery room. Because you may be a little drowsy, you may not participate in traffic independently and must be collected. You will be given a pressure bandage to keep the skin taut. You will return after about a week and the stitches will be removed.
Lipolaser
The Lipolaser is a specialized and precise technique in which fat cells are melted and sucked up. The lipolaser heats the fat cells, making them easier to remove. The lipolaser also tightens the skin and produces connective tissue. This gives you a more defined jawline and subtly lifts the jawline.
It is a relatively safe procedure, with little risk of damage to surrounding cells or tissues. It also has a shorter down time. The Lipolaser treatment supports a Liposuction treatment, you can book the treatments together.
The operation
Because the Lipolaser treatment in combination with the Liposuction is performed, this also takes place under local anaesthesia and an intoxication. As with a Liposuction treatment, an incision is made near the ears and under the chin. A cannula enters through the small incision, the laser 'melts' the fatty tissue, making it easier to drain. The laser also provides a subtle lift to the skin, making the jaw more visible and accentuating the face.
When there is sagging skin in addition to excess fatty tissue, we recommend the Liposuction treatment with Lipolaser. The Lipolaser is in fact a complement to Liposuction treatment. Liposuction combined with Lipolaser is a unique treatment that can use a laser to reshape and contour your face. What is unique about the Lipolaser is that besides 'melting' the fatty tissue, it also activates your natural collagen stimulation, giving you a subtle lift. This puts our body to work tightening and lifting the skin.
