Best tips for your treatment in conjunction with the summer period

Summer is just around the corner, holidays are being booked and the bikinis are being pulled out of the closet again. That summer sun and the pool on the French Riviera are wonderful, of course, but are they ideal for after your treatment? We would like to give you the best tips for your treatment in combination with the summer period in this blog!

Perhaps you are thinking about an eyelid correction or you think it is time again for a touch up of your botulinum toxin treatment. During the summer months, it is extra important to consider a number of factors when it comes to scheduling your treatment. There are also some treatments that can come in handy just when the bright sun shows up again.

Upper eyelid surgery.

An upper eyelid correction In principle, it can be performed all year round, but during the summer months there are a few things you should take into account. It is recommended not to expose the scar to the sun for at least the first three months, as this can cause discolouration of the scar. Would you like to go on holiday after your upper eyelid correctionPlease note that you may not fly until the stitches have been removed, you may only apply sun protection to your eyelids after 2 weeks, and you may not swim for the first 2 weeks after the procedure.

Botox and fillers.

Also with Botulinum toxin and filler treatments, there are a few things to consider. For example, after a Botulinum toxin treatment not in the sun for the first 24 hours. Before this time, you can use the Botulinum toxin sweat out faster, as it has not yet been fully absorbed by the body. Also, after a Botulinum toxin treatment Do not reapply sunscreen to the injected area until the puncture holes are closed. This is usually after about 3-4 hours. With fillers the rules work slightly differently. Because a filler deeper into the skin, the puncture holes also remain open a little longer. For this reason, we recommend not applying any sunscreen to this area for the first 24 hours. It is also advisable, after a filler treatment avoid full sun exposure for the first 2 weeks. This is because the product needs time to be fully absorbed by the body for the best and longest results. If you don't give the body this time, for example by lying on the beach after a day, there is a chance that the body will break down the filler faster. For both a wrinkle relaxer and filler, it is not recommended to swim for the first 2 weeks after treatment, this is to avoid infections. Also be careful if you still have a blue spot after an botox treatment! Blue spots under the influence of sunlight can cause (additional) pigmentation.

Popular treatments for summer.

When we peer into the bright sun, we automatically squint our eyes. This can frown linesforehead wrinkles and crow's feet arise. If we keep tightening these muscles frequently, the wrinkle can eventually remain even at rest. An ideal solution to this is treatment with a muscle relaxant. By using a substance that has a muscle relaxant effect, we can temporarily affect the muscles. By preventing them from tightening each time, we also prevent wrinkle formation. Besides, it also looks a lot nicer when the face is relaxed. Ideal for summer!

While the sun and warmth is something many people look forward to, unfortunately this is not the case for everyone. For some, the summer months are accompanied by wet armpits and an uncomfortable feeling. Some people sweat a little more than others, but if you suffer from excessive sweating, it can be extremely annoying. Do you want to enjoy the summer undisturbed and finally wear that nice summer outfit without having to worry about sweat patches? Then a hyperhidrosis treatment the solution for you! This treatment also involves the use of a muscle relaxant. Although a muscle relaxant treatment is known as a wrinkle treatment, it can also be used for excessive sweating. By injecting the muscle relaxant into the armpits, sweat production is inhibited over a period of about six months. A simple procedure, but a world of difference.
