During the consultation with the cosmetic doctor, extensive time is taken to discuss everything. The cosmetic doctor examines your chin and discusses which filler is most suitable. You can also ask all your questions and express your wishes. The doctor will tell you how the treatment will proceed and what you can expect from the end result. A good explanation will be given of the aftercare, any risks and the end result of what you can expect. Would you like to undergo the treatment? Then everything is noted in the file and you sign the treatment agreement together with the cosmetic doctor. Photos are taken for the file, which can be compared with the end result.
The filler will be injected into the chin with the help of a very narrow needle. Most filler treatments are done without anesthetic. Do you find this uncomfortable? Then an anesthetic cream can be used in consultation with the doctor. To counteract the swelling, the skin will be cooled with an ice pack after the treatment.
You can go home immediately after the treatment. Sometimes the skin is still a bit red and small bruises appear. This will pass on its own and is not serious. It is advised not to exercise and not to consume alcohol for at least the first 24 hours. Do not bring the skin into contact with extreme heat (solarium, sauna).
The chance of complications is very small. As with any procedure, there is a small risk of infection or allergy.
