During the consultation, the skin expert will assess the skin irregularity and discuss treatment options. Skin irregularities that can be treated include: rosacea, spider legs, blood blisters, skin warts and small skin bumps.
There is enough space to discuss all wishes and questions. You will receive a good explanation about the treatment, aftercare, the risks and the expected end result. Pictures are taken, which can later be compared with the final result.
During the treatment you will receive a handpiece (electrode) to allow the removal of the irregularities as quickly as possible. The skin expert will remove the skin imperfections with another handpiece, in the form of a fine pen. In most cases this treatment is performed without anesthesia. The feeling can be experienced as pinpricks.
Immediately after the treatment, the treated skin is red and sometimes a little irritated, this will subside on its own (usually within a few hours). Sometimes a crust develops. The skin will repair itself. To support the skin, it is important to lubricate Alhydran at least twice a day. It is also important to protect the skin well against UV radiation with at least SPF 30. In some cases the skin will flake slightly, do not pull / pick / scratch the loose skin!
The risk of complications is minimal. As with any treatment where the skin has to repair itself, there is a small risk of inflammation. Report it to the skin expert if you are familiar with diabetes mellitus, epilepsy or a pacemaker.
