When it comes to treatments to improve skin ageing, you have plenty of options. These range from non-invasive to minimally invasive to surgery. While many cosmetic treatments aim to improve and rejuvenate the skin, the results are not the same. This is especially the case with thread lift and facelift treatments. Both have a similar purpose, but the results can be vastly different.<\/p>\n

Both thread lift treatment and a facelift, aim to improve sagging skin around the jawline, cheeks and neck. One is minimally invasive and the other is surgery, and both can give a younger and fresher appearance. What is a wire lift?<\/h3>\n

A wire lift<\/a>\u00a0improves skin sagging and visible signs of ageing using dissolvable, surgical wires. These wires have numerous tiny barbs that allow them to lift sagging skin after the wires are inserted under the skin. They also stimulate collagen production, giving you long-term improvements in skin quality. A thread lift is non-surgical, minimally invasive and gives natural results.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n

Unlike wire lifts, which are inserted under the skin and subtly lift, removes\u00a0a facelift<\/a> also actually excess skin. In addition, underlying tissues are tightened and lifted. Face and neck lifts give a more youthful appearance and can significantly improve sagging cheeks, a sagging neck and volume loss around the cheeks. There are different levels of facelift surgery, depending on your needs. These techniques can range from a \"mini lift\" to a \"deep plane lift\". Which type of lift is right for you depends on the degree of sagging of the skin and underlying tissues.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n

Which treatment is right for you?<\/h3>\n

Which treatment is right for you depends on your age, skin quality and degree of skin sagging. Especially since the thread lift treatment also stimulates collagen production, a degree of collagen in the body is required. Since collagen production decreases as we age, we see that a thread lift treatment is optimal for people between 30ste<\/sup>\u00a0and 45ste<\/sup>\u00a0year of life. If you have a lot of sagging skin, deep wrinkles, a sagging neck or are older, you are probably best suited for a face and\/or neck lift.<\/p>\n

Although the thread lift can subtly counteract the first signs of ageing, it can never achieve the same lifting effect as a facelift. A thread lift is usually ideal for younger clients who are starting to see the beginnings of ageing and sagging skin. Surgery often feels like a step too far, and only want to combat the symptoms before they get worse.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n
