The Milan Technique is an advanced method in which a larger elliptical section of the upper eyelid is corrected. More excess skin is removed from the outer side of the eye using a ‘wing,’ resulting in a more open and youthful appearance. Keep in mind that the scar may be slightly more visible in the initial phase, but with proper aftercare and recovery time, it becomes more subtle.

Post-procedure advice

Take at least one week off and avoid physical exerteds such as bending down, heavy lifting and household chores. De eerste dagen na de ingreep kunnen uw ogen gezwollen en blauw verkleurd zijn, wat volkomen normaal is. Regelmatig koelen en voldoende rust versnellen het herstelproces, waardoor u sneller kunt genieten van uw stralende blik!

Avoid makeup and contact lenses for at least two weeks to prevent infections and unnecessary strain on the wound. After about a week, you can gradually resume your daily activities, depending on the intensity. The final result is clearly visible after a few weeks, but the scar needs 6 to 12 months to heal completely.
