Botox is an accessible, popular, and relatively simple treatment for combating wrinkles. Also known as botulinum toxin, botox has been used for years in both the medical and cosmetic worlds. It can be used for ailments such as migraines or excessive sweating, but the before and after results that people are really interested in are the wrinkle treatments with botox.

Whether it concerns a frown line, forehead wrinkles or crow's feet, if we put the before and after photos side by side it is very clearly visible: Botox helps to soften these wrinkles or even make them disappear completely.

Thanks to the muscle-relaxing function of botox, we prevent certain muscles from contracting properly. For example, by injecting the frown muscle, you will no longer be able to frown. What is a Botox treatment?

Does Botox make muscles lazy?

Botox temporarily reduces muscle activity, but it doesn't make them permanently "lazy." Over time, muscle activity returns fully. However, regular treatments can provide a long-lasting relaxing effect.

Are there any risks or side effects?

There may be mild side effects such as redness, swelling or bruising, but these usually disappear quickly.

What should you take into account after a Botox treatment?

After a Botox treatment, it is important not to lie down for the first 4 hours, not to apply makeup to the injection sites, and not to engage in intensive sports or visit a sauna for the first 24 hours.

You can already see improvement from about the fifth day, but the maximum results are usually visible after two weeks.
