Wat voor soorten lift zijn er?

Face slimming: deze unieke behandeling bestaat uit een combinatiebehandeling liposuctie hals en buccaal vetverwijdering. Faceslimming is geschikt voor mensen met een vol gelaat die meer definitie in hun gezicht willen. Deze ingreep wordt aangeraden wanneer de huidkwaliteit stevig is. Door een uitgebreide liposuctie van de hals uit te voeren, gecombineerd met het buccaal vetverwijderen worden de juiste accenten in het gelaat aangebracht zodat uw gezicht er slanker en jeugdiger uitziet. De S-Lift: hierbij wordt alleen de huid van de wang gelift, daarom wordt de ingreep ook wel ‘minilift’ of ‘mini facelift’ genoemd. Deze techniek is geschikt tot een bepaalde leeftijd en als de verslapping zich heeft beperkt tot de bovenste laag van de huid. Als er ook sprake is van verslappen van de onderliggende weefsellagen, zal de MACS-Lift of een facelift een betere keuze zijn. De MACS-lift: hierbij wordt niet alleen de huid van de wang gelift, zoals bij de S-Lift of minilift, maar wordt ook het onderliggende steunweefsel meegenomen ( de SMAS laag). Deze techniek is geschikt wanneer het gelaat op meerdere lagen verslapt is. Dit is vaak vanaf de leeftijd 45 tot 50 jaar. De kaaklijn en de hals worden bij een MACS-lift niet meegenomen. Facelift: Bij een facelift wordt een incisie gemaakt voor het oor en achter het oor. Hierbij worden de huid en de onderliggende bindweefsellaag (de SMAS laag) gelift. Een Facelift is een uitgebreidere lift dan een MACS lift. Bij een Facelift wordt namelijk de kaaklijn gelift. Deze lift kan volgens verschillende technieken worden gedaan zoals een plicatie van de SMAS laag of een deep plane Facelift. Onder chirurg zal u persoonlijk adviseren welk type het meest geschikt is voor u. Face- en halslift: bij een face-/halslift wordt een incisie gemaakt voor het oor, achter het oor en onder de kin. Hierbij worden de wangen, de kaaklijn en de hals gelift. Tevens worden de onderliggende lagen namelijk de SMAS laag en de halsspieren (de platysmaspieren) gelift met een speciale techniek. Op deze manier worden de wangen, de kaaklijn en de hals op een natuurlijke en duurzame manier gelift zodat u langer kunt genieten van het resultaat. Halslift met platysmaplastiek: Bij de halslift met platysmaplastiek ligt de focus volledig op de hals. Er wordt een incisie gemaakt achter de oren en onder de kin. Na een uitgebreide liposuctie van de hals worden de halsspieren gelift door deze naar elkaar toe te hechten (platysmaplastiek). Zo krijgt u een jeugdige, prachtige kaaklijn zonder littekens voor de oren. Het gelaat wordt hierbij niet gelift. Signature Lift: Een Signature lift is een uniek lift van het gelaat dat uitgevoerd wordt door Dr. Tha-in. Het bestaat uit een combinatiebehandeling van buccaal vetverwijderen, liposuctie van de hals en vervolgens liften van het gelaat en de hals. Deze lift geeft niet alleen een verstrakking van uw gelaat maar brengt ook op de juiste punten accenten die u op een gedefinieerde manier natuurlijk mooier maakt. Moet ik rechtop slapen na een Facelift?

Ja, het is aan te raden om de eerste nachten rechtop of half rechtop te slapen. Dit helpt om zwelling en blauwe plekken te verminderen en ondersteunt een mooi herstel.

Overgewicht met een Facelift, kan dit?

Ja, een facelift is ook mogelijk met overgewicht. Wel kan het effect minder uitgesproken zijn, omdat vetweefsel in het gezicht een rol speelt bij het eindresultaat. Tijdens een consult kijkt de arts of de ingreep passend en veilig is voor jouw situatie.

Vanaf welke leeftijd kan je een Facelift ondergaan?

Een facelift kan vanaf ongeveer 40 jaar overwogen worden, wanneer huidverslapping en rimpels zichtbaarder worden. De juiste leeftijd verschilt per persoon en hangt af van je huidconditie en wensen.

Waarom mag je de eerste twee dagen niet alleen zijn na een Facelift?

De eerste twee dagen na een facelift is het belangrijk dat iemand bij je is om je te helpen. Je kunt nog wat duizelig zijn van de verdoving of pijnstilling, en je hebt ondersteuning nodig bij dagelijkse dingen zoals eten klaarmaken of even opstaan. Zo herstel je veiliger en met meer rust.

Waarom ziet je gezicht er zo opgetrokken uit na een Facelift

Direct na een facelift kan je gezicht er strak of wat opgezwollen uitzien door zwelling en spanning van de huid. Dit trekt in de weken daarna geleidelijk weg, waarna het resultaat natuurlijker en zachter oogt.

Wie is een geschikte kandidaat voor een facelift?

Een facelift is geschikt voor mensen die een natuurlijke verandering in hun gezicht wensen, en de verslapping willen verhelpen die er door de jaren heen is ontstaan of na veel afvallen. De mate van de verslapping van de huid en onderliggende weefsels bepalen of een (mini) facelift noodzakelijk is. De chirurg zal altijd beoordelen welk type lift u het mooiste resultaat kan geven. De leeftijd voor een reguliere facelift kan variëren van 40 tot 70 jaar, een mini-Lift/ S-Lift kan op jongere toegepast worden omdat dit in de meeste gevallen alleen overtollige huid is. Voor ons staat kwaliteit en zorg bovenaan, daarom adviseren we om na het 70ste levensjaar geen operatieve lift meer te doen. De reden is dat door de leeftijd de onderlaag vaak ernstig verslapt is en daardoor niet goed gelift kan worden.

Wat zijn de risico's en complicaties?

Bij elke chirurgische behandeling is er kans op een complicatie. Daarom is het belangrijk dat je op de hoogte bent van de ingreep en de mogelijke complicaties. Er bestaat het risico op een allergische reactie, bloeding of infectie. De kans hierop is zeer klein. Onze instrumenten zijn single-use en van de beste kwaliteit. Neem voldoende rust in de week na uw behandeling. Zorg ervoor dat er iemand u kan helpen. Slaap in rugligging op 2 hoofdkussen. Dit verkleint de kans op nabloeding en zwelling. Het bevordert de genezing. In de eerste twee weken na de behandeling mag u niet drukken, persen, tillen of bukken. Wij raden je aan om niet te roken tot het verwijderen van de hechtingen. Roken verhoogt de kans op complicaties. Vermijd intensief kauwen van vast voedsel. Hierdoor komen de hechtingen in het gezicht onder druk te staan. Drink geen warme dranken, zoals thee of koffie, om stuwing in het gezicht te voorkomen. Zwellingen en bloeduitstortingen worden de eerste drie dagen erger en nemen daarna weer langzaam af. Het is verstandig om normaal in beweging te blijven. Dit is goed voor de bloedsomloop en de wondgenezing. Onderneem geen zwaar en inspannend werk en ook geen sportactiviteiten gedurende de eerste zes weken. Plan u sociale contacten. Blijf een weekje thuis. Het behandelde gebied zal de eerste week blauw, gezwollen en gekneusd uitzien. Ook kunnen de littekens direct na de behandeling rood en gezwollen zijn. Dit is soms wel even schrikken. Eén à twee weken na een facelift bent u meestal weer toonbaar en kan u uw sociale activiteiten weer hervatten. We adviseren je de littekens gedurende 3 maanden na de operatie niet bloot te stellen aan UV- zonlicht en/of de zonnebank. Vermijd emotionele opwinding. Na enkele weken komt alles weer goed.

Mag ik zelfstandig naar huis na een Facelift?

Nee, na een facelift mag je niet zelfstandig naar huis. Door de verdoving en het verband heb je begeleiding nodig. Het is belangrijk dat iemand je ophaalt en de eerste dagen bij je in de buurt blijft.

Is een Facelift een eindstation?

Nee, een facelift is geen eindstation. Het verouderingsproces gaat door, maar een facelift zet de klok een flink stuk terug. Soms kiezen mensen later voor een kleine aanvullende behandeling om het resultaat mooi te onderhouden.

How does a Facelift MACS-Lift proceed?

You will be given all the information about the facelift treatment and explained the entire treatment process, from precaution to aftercare. You will be told what final result you can expect from the treatment. Photographs will be taken beforehand and laid next to the photos after the surgery. This allows you to see the natural result of the Facelift MACS-Lift beautifully.

Treatment

A MACS-Lift facelift is an outpatient treatment, which does not require admission. The procedure for a MACS facelift takes place under an anaesthetic and with local anaesthesia. This means you will be in a light sleep during the procedure and you will feel no pain. The treatment takes on average 2 hours; you will not experience much of the procedure.

The surgeon makes short, L-shaped incisions in the hairline next to the temple, in front of the ear down to the earlobe. This minimises the risk of visible scars as they fall into the natural folds of the ear. The subcutaneous tissue is lifted and secured with sutures. These dissolve on their own while the tissue heals in its new position. The procedure takes an average of two hours.

You will be allowed to go home after the procedure and after a short rest period, under supervision. This means that you will not be able to participate in traffic yourself.

The jawline becomes tighter and the nasolabial fold more prominent. Initial results are visible after just 1 to 2 weeks. The final, natural result shows after a few months to a year. The result lasts for a long time. Skin ageing does continue. A facelift can be repeated after 10 to 15 years.

Aftercare

We are happy to guide you through the entire treatment and healing process. We work with a specially developed pre- and after-care protocol so that you are maximally prepared. Your face will be swollen and feel tight for the few days after the MACS-Lift. For mild post-operative pain, taking a paracetamol is sufficient. The swelling and bruising will disappear on their own within a few weeks. In the first week, get plenty of rest and sleep supine on an extra pillow. This helps against swelling, reduces the risk of subsequent bleeding and promotes the healing process. Avoid pressing, squeezing, bending or lifting in the first three weeks. Do not engage in heavy physical exertion in the first six weeks.

You will reach the guarantee the best outcome and fastest healing with a healthy lifestyle and the right supplements, including collagen powder. At least stop smoking until the sutures are out, do not drink hot drinks to avoid facial congestion and do not chew solid food intensively. This will put pressure on the sutures in the face.

After the MACS-Lift, keep moving normally to ensure good circulation and rapid healing of the wound. You will be presentable again after one to two weeks and able to resume your daily social activities. In the first three months, do not expose your facial skin to bright sunlight or go under a sunbed or to the sauna. We recommend at least 3 connective tissue massages from 3 months after treatment. This makes the skin, underlying tissues and scars supple and soft, and promotes recovery.

Risks

A MACS-Lift is a common surgical procedure at SkinSurgery Clinics, with a very low risk of complications. An allergic reaction, subsequent bleeding or infection may occur in some cases. Face slimming is suitable for people with a full face who want more definition in their face. This procedure is recommended when the skin quality is firm. By performing extensive liposuction of the neck, combined with buccal fat removal, the right accents are added to the face so that your face looks slimmer and more youthful. The S-Lift: only the skin of the cheek is lifted, which is why the procedure is also called a 'mini lift' or 'mini facelift'. This technique is suitable up to a certain age and if the sagging is limited to the top layer of the skin. If there is also sagging of the underlying tissue layers, the MACS-Lift or a facelift will be a better choice. Why Does Your Face Look So Pulled Up After a Facelift

Who is a suitable candidate for a facelift?

A facelift is suitable for people who want a natural change in their face, and want to remedy sagging that has developed over the years or after losing a lot of weight. The degree of sagging of the skin and underlying tissues determine whether a (mini) facelift is necessary. The surgeon will always assess which type of lift can give you the best results. The age for a regular facelift can range from 40 to 70 years, a mini-Lift/ S-Lift can be applied to younger as this is only excess skin in most cases. For us, quality and care is paramount, which is why we advise against surgical lifts after the age of 70. The reason is that due to age, the lower layer is often severely sagging and therefore cannot be lifted properly.

What are the risks and complications?

With any surgical treatment, there is a chance of a complication. Therefore, it is important to be aware of the procedure and its possible complications. There is the risk of an allergic reaction, bleeding or infection. The chance of this is very small. Our instruments are single-use and of the best quality. We work with very fine needles and fine diathermy, so as to minimise trauma to the tissue as much as possible.Specific complications of a facelift are nerve damage, asymmetry, hair loss, formation of hypertrophic scars and numbness of part of your face. The latter is usually not permanent.

Aftercare after facelift

Get enough rest in the week after your treatment. Make sure someone can help you. Sleep on your back on 2 pillows. This reduces the chance of bleeding and swelling. It promotes healing. In the first two weeks after the treatment, you may not press, strain, lift or bend. We advise you not to smoke until the stitches are removed. Smoking increases the chance of complications. Avoid chewing solid food intensively. This puts pressure on the stitches in the face. Do not drink hot drinks, such as tea or coffee, to prevent congestion in the face. Swelling and bruising will get worse in the first three days and then slowly decrease again. It is wise to keep moving normally. This is good for the blood circulation and wound healing. Do not do heavy or strenuous work or sports activities during the first six weeks. Plan your social contacts. Stay home for a week. The treated area will look blue, swollen and bruised for the first week. The scars may also be red and swollen immediately after the treatment. This can be quite a shock. One to two weeks after a facelift, you will usually be presentable again and can resume your social activities. We advise you not to expose the scars to UV sunlight and/or the sunbed for 3 months after the operation. Avoid emotional excitement. After a few weeks, everything will be fine again.

Can I go home on my own after a facelift?

No, you cannot go home on your own after a facelift. Due to the anesthesia and bandages, you will need assistance. It's important that someone picks you up and stays with you for the first few days.

Is a facelift the end of the road?

No, a facelift isn't the end of the road. The aging process continues, but a facelift turns back the clock considerably. Sometimes people opt for a minor follow-up treatment later to maintain the beautiful result.
