Although the two differ, they are used as if they mean exactly the same thing. SkinSurgery explains the difference between a vagina correction and a labia correction.
When someone talks about a vagina correction, we are talking about an internal procedure. This is because the vagina is largely internal. The vagina is an opening that ends at the cervix. Normally, a vagina is between 7 and 9 centimetres deep and quite narrow because the walls sit against each other. A vagina correction is also called a vaginal constriction, or perineoplasty. During vaginal correction, the vagina is made narrower by bringing the muscles at the entrance of the vagina together. The entrance becomes narrower and one also gains more control over the muscles.
A labia correction, labia correction or vulva correction deals with the external parts. In other words, about the vulva. The vulva consists of:
- labia
- the clitoris
- the outlet of the urethra
- the entrance to the vagina
During a labia correction, the labia can be reduced in size. You can also choose to correct the clitoral hood or perform an Extended Pubic Lip Surgery if the skin around the vulva begins to droop. This treatment is suitable for women who are unhappy with their labia, or experience pain due to their labia.
