Wat voor soorten lift zijn er?

Face slimming: deze unieke behandeling bestaat uit een combinatiebehandeling liposuctie hals en buccaal vetverwijdering. Faceslimming is geschikt voor mensen met een vol gelaat die meer definitie in hun gezicht willen. Deze ingreep wordt aangeraden wanneer de huidkwaliteit stevig is. Door een uitgebreide liposuctie van de hals uit te voeren, gecombineerd met het buccaal vetverwijderen worden de juiste accenten in het gelaat aangebracht zodat uw gezicht er slanker en jeugdiger uitziet. De S-Lift: hierbij wordt alleen de huid van de wang gelift, daarom wordt de ingreep ook wel ‘minilift’ of ‘mini facelift’ genoemd. Deze techniek is geschikt tot een bepaalde leeftijd en als de verslapping zich heeft beperkt tot de bovenste laag van de huid. Als er ook sprake is van verslappen van de onderliggende weefsellagen, zal de MACS-Lift of een facelift een betere keuze zijn. De MACS-lift: hierbij wordt niet alleen de huid van de wang gelift, zoals bij de S-Lift of minilift, maar wordt ook het onderliggende steunweefsel meegenomen ( de SMAS laag). Deze techniek is geschikt wanneer het gelaat op meerdere lagen verslapt is. Dit is vaak vanaf de leeftijd 45 tot 50 jaar. De kaaklijn en de hals worden bij een MACS-lift niet meegenomen. Facelift: Bij een facelift wordt een incisie gemaakt voor het oor en achter het oor. Hierbij worden de huid en de onderliggende bindweefsellaag (de SMAS laag) gelift. Een Facelift is een uitgebreidere lift dan een MACS lift. Bij een Facelift wordt namelijk de kaaklijn gelift. Deze lift kan volgens verschillende technieken worden gedaan zoals een plicatie van de SMAS laag of een deep plane Facelift. Onder chirurg zal u persoonlijk adviseren welk type het meest geschikt is voor u. Face- en halslift: bij een face-/halslift wordt een incisie gemaakt voor het oor, achter het oor en onder de kin. Hierbij worden de wangen, de kaaklijn en de hals gelift. Tevens worden de onderliggende lagen namelijk de SMAS laag en de halsspieren (de platysmaspieren) gelift met een speciale techniek. Op deze manier worden de wangen, de kaaklijn en de hals op een natuurlijke en duurzame manier gelift zodat u langer kunt genieten van het resultaat. Halslift met platysmaplastiek: Bij de halslift met platysmaplastiek ligt de focus volledig op de hals. Er wordt een incisie gemaakt achter de oren en onder de kin. Na een uitgebreide liposuctie van de hals worden de halsspieren gelift door deze naar elkaar toe te hechten (platysmaplastiek). Zo krijgt u een jeugdige, prachtige kaaklijn zonder littekens voor de oren. Het gelaat wordt hierbij niet gelift. Signature Lift: Een Signature lift is een uniek lift van het gelaat dat uitgevoerd wordt door Dr. Tha-in. Het bestaat uit een combinatiebehandeling van buccaal vetverwijderen, liposuctie van de hals en vervolgens liften van het gelaat en de hals. Moet ik rechtop slapen na een Facelift?

Ja, het is aan te raden om de eerste nachten rechtop of half rechtop te slapen. Dit helpt om zwelling en blauwe plekken te verminderen en ondersteunt een mooi herstel.

Moet ik supplementen slikken voor een Facelift?

Meestal is het niet nodig om speciale supplementen te slikken voor een facelift. Een gezond en gevarieerd voedingspatroon ondersteunt je herstel al goed. Soms kan een arts bepaalde vitamines of supplementen adviseren, maar dit gebeurt alleen als dat echt nodig is.

Overgewicht met een Facelift, kan dit?

Vanaf welke leeftijd kan je een Facelift ondergaan?

Een facelift kan vanaf ongeveer 40 jaar overwogen worden, wanneer huidverslapping en rimpels zichtbaarder worden. De juiste leeftijd verschilt per persoon en hangt af van je huidconditie en wensen.

Waarom mag je de eerste twee dagen niet alleen zijn na een Facelift?

De eerste twee dagen na een facelift is het belangrijk dat iemand bij je is om je te helpen. Je kunt nog wat duizelig zijn van de verdoving of pijnstilling, en je hebt ondersteuning nodig bij dagelijkse dingen zoals eten klaarmaken of even opstaan. Zo herstel je veiliger en met meer rust.

Waarom ziet je gezicht er zo opgetrokken uit na een Facelift

Direct na een facelift kan je gezicht er strak of wat opgezwollen uitzien door zwelling en spanning van de huid. Dit trekt in de weken daarna geleidelijk weg, waarna het resultaat natuurlijker en zachter oogt.

Wie is een geschikte kandidaat voor een facelift?

Een facelift is geschikt voor mensen die een natuurlijke verandering in hun gezicht wensen, en de verslapping willen verhelpen die er door de jaren heen is ontstaan of na veel afvallen. De mate van de verslapping van de huid en onderliggende weefsels bepalen of een (mini) facelift noodzakelijk is. De chirurg zal altijd beoordelen welk type lift u het mooiste resultaat kan geven. De leeftijd voor een reguliere facelift kan variëren van 40 tot 70 jaar, een mini-Lift/ S-Lift kan op jongere toegepast worden omdat dit in de meeste gevallen alleen overtollige huid is. Voor ons staat kwaliteit en zorg bovenaan, daarom adviseren we om na het 70ste levensjaar geen operatieve lift meer te doen. De reden is dat door de leeftijd de onderlaag vaak ernstig verslapt is en daardoor niet goed gelift kan worden.

Nazorg na de Signature Lift

Neem voldoende rust in de week na uw behandeling. Zorg ervoor dat er iemand u kan helpen. Slaap in rugligging op 2 hoofdkussen. Dit verkleint de kans op nabloeding en zwelling. Het bevordert de genezing. In de eerste twee weken na de behandeling mag u niet drukken, persen, tillen of bukken. Wij raden u aan om niet te roken tot het verwijderen van de hechtingen. Roken verhoogt de kans op complicaties. Vermijd intensief kauwen van vast voedsel. Hierdoor komen de hechtingen in het gezicht onder druk te staan. Drink geen warme dranken, zoals thee of koffie, om stuwing in het gezicht te voorkomen. Zwellingen en bloeduitstortingen worden de eerste drie dagen erger en nemen daarna weer langzaam af. Het is verstandig om normaal in beweging te blijven. Dit is goed voor de bloedsomloop en de wondgenezing. Onderneem geen zwaar en inspannend werk en ook geen sportactiviteiten gedurende de eerste zes weken. Plan u sociale contacten. Blijf een weekje thuis. Het behandelde gebied zal de eerste week blauw, gezwollen en gekneusd uitzien. Ook kunnen de littekens direct na de behandeling rood en gezwollen zijn. Dit is soms wel even schrikken. Eén à twee weken na een facelift bent u meestal weer toonbaar en kan u uw sociale activiteiten weer hervatten. We adviseren u de littekens gedurende 3 maanden na de operatie niet bloot te stellen aan UV- zonlicht en/of de zonnebank. Na 3 maanden is het raadzaam om te beginnen met bindweefselmassages. Dit versoepelt de huid, onderliggende weefsel en littekens. De massages bevorderen het herstel en zorgen voor langer behoud van het resultaat. Vermijd emotionele opwinding. Na enkele weken komt alles weer goed.

Wat zijn de risico’s en complicaties?

Bij elke chirurgische behandeling is er kans op een complicatie. Daarom is het belangrijk dat u op de hoogte bent van de ingreep en de mogelijke complicaties. Er bestaat het risico op een allergische reactie, bloeding, infectie of zenuwletsel. De kans hierop is zeer klein. Onze instrumenten zijn van de beste kwaliteit. We werken met hele fijne naalden en fijne diathermie, zo om trauma aan het weefsel zoveel mogelijk te minimaliseren. Specifieke complicaties bij een facelift zijn beschadigingen van de zenuwen, asymmetrie, haarverlies, vorming van hypertrofische littekens en gevoelloosheid van een deel van je gezicht. De complicaties zijn niet blijvend en herstelt vaak in de loop der tijd van 3-4 maanden na de ingreep.

Wat zijn nadelen van een Signature Lift?

Juist omdat meerdere behandelingen worden gecombineerd, is het herstel langer en intensiever. Zoals bij alle cosmetische ingrepen, zijn de uiteindelijke resultaten veel meer afhankelijk van de vaardigheid van de chirurg dan van de feitelijk gebruikte techniek. U krijgt kleine littekens, maar onze chirurg zal ze zo goed mogelijk verbergen.

The Signature Lift is an outpatient treatment, which does not require admission. You may return home after the procedure and after a short rest period. However, you are not yet allowed to drive yourself. In this case, please bring someone with you to our clinic or have someone pick you up by car after the treatment. Various facelift treatments are performed under anaesthesia in our clinic. In the Signature Lift, not only the skin is lifted, but the underlying connective and muscular tissue is tightened and the sagging fatty tissue is returned to its original position. Buccal fat is removed and liposuction is performed on the neck to remove the double chin.

The Signature Lift lasts 3 to 4 hours, lifting both the skin of the cheek and the underlying supporting tissue. Your jawline becomes tighter and your nasolabial fold more prominent. Aftercare

We are happy to guide you through the entire treatment and healing process. We work with a specially developed pre- and after-care protocol so that you are maximally prepared and enjoy your recovery. Your face will be slightly swollen and feel tight for the few days after the Signature Lift. For mild post-operative pain, taking a paracetamol will suffice. The swelling and bruising will disappear on their own within a few weeks. In the first week, get plenty of rest and sleep supine on an extra pillow. This helps against swelling, reduces the risk of subsequent bleeding and promotes the healing process. Avoid pressing, squeezing, bending or lifting in the first three weeks. Do not engage in heavy physical exertion in the first six weeks.

You will reach the guarantee the best outcome and fastest healing with a healthy lifestyle. At least stop smoking until the sutures are out, do not drink hot drinks to avoid facial congestion and do not chew solid food intensively. The treatment

This Signature Lift takes place under sedation and with local anaesthesia. This means you are asleep during the procedure and you will feel no pain. You are therefore very sleepy and relaxed and will experience very little of the procedure.

The surgeon makes short incisions in the hairline next to the temple, in front of the ear down to the earlobe. This minimises the risk of visible scars as they fall into the natural folds of the ear. The subcutaneous tissue is lifted and secured with sutures. These dissolve on their own while the tissue heals in its new position.

During the procedure, buccal fat is also removed. This gives your face more contour and a V-shape. This can often be done from the outside, if the skin has been loosened. It may happen that the buccal fat is deeper. In that case, the surgeon will remove the fat from the inside of your mouth, through a small incision.

To bring back the natural contours of your face, and give more definition to your jawline, the surgeon will also remove fat at the double chin. This is done using liposuction. A small tube is inserted under your chin, which then sucks up the fat.

The whole procedure takes about 3-4 hours. After a short period of sleep, you will be allowed to go home. As you may be drowsy, you will not be allowed to drive independently. You will therefore have to be collected.

From 3 months after surgery, you will return for connective tissue massages. This softens the skin, underlying tissue and scars. The massages promote recovery and ensure longer-lasting results.

Is a Facelift Worth It?

For many people, a facelift is worthwhile because it provides long-lasting and natural results for sagging skin and deep wrinkles. It can give you a fresher, younger appearance and increased self-confidence, provided you have realistic expectations and choose an experienced doctor.

What is a facelift?

A facelift is a treatment performed when the skin of your face is sagging due to age. During the procedure, the skin and underlying muscle and connective tissue is tightened and lifted. What types of lift are there?

Face slimming: this unique treatment consists of a combination treatment of liposuction of the neck and buccal fat removal. Face slimming is suitable for people with a full face who want more definition in their face. This procedure is recommended when the skin quality is firm. By performing extensive liposuction of the neck, combined with buccal fat removal, the right accents are added to the face so that your face looks slimmer and more youthful. The S-Lift: only the skin of the cheek is lifted, which is why the procedure is also called a 'mini lift' or 'mini facelift'. This technique is suitable up to a certain age and if the sagging is limited to the top layer of the skin. If there is also sagging of the underlying tissue layers, the MACS-Lift or a facelift will be a better choice. The MACS lift: not only is the skin of the cheek lifted, as with the S-Lift or mini-lift, but the underlying supporting tissue is also lifted (the SMAS layer). This technique is suitable when the face is sagging on multiple layers. This is often from the age of 45 to 50. The jawline and neck are not included in a MACS lift. Facelift: A facelift involves making an incision in front of the ear and behind the ear. The skin and the underlying connective tissue layer (the SMAS layer) are lifted. A facelift is a more extensive lift than a MACS lift. A facelift involves lifting the jawline. This lift can be performed using various techniques, such as a plication of the SMAS layer or a deep plane facelift. Your surgeon will personally advise you on which type is most suitable for you. Face and neck lift: a face/neck lift involves making an incision in front of the ear, behind the ear and under the chin. The cheeks, jawline and neck are lifted. The underlying layers, namely the SMAS layer and the neck muscles (the platysma muscles), are also lifted using a special technique. In this way, the cheeks, jawline and neck are lifted in a natural and sustainable way so that you can enjoy the result for longer. Neck lift with platysmaplasty: With a neck lift with platysmaplasty, the focus is entirely on the neck. An incision is made behind the ears and under the chin. After extensive liposuction of the neck, the neck muscles are lifted by suturing them together (platysmaplasty). This gives you a youthful, beautiful jawline without scars in front of the ears. The face is not lifted. Signature Lift: A Signature lift is a unique facial lift performed by Dr. Tha-in. It consists of a combination treatment of buccal fat removal, liposuction of the neck and then lifting the face and neck. This lift not only tightens your face but also adds accents at the right points that make you naturally more beautiful in a defined way. Dr. Tha-in will be happy to discuss this with you personally.

Should I sleep upright after a facelift?

Yes, it's recommended to sleep upright or semi-upright for the first few nights. This helps reduce swelling and bruising and promotes a smooth recovery.

Do I need to take supplements for a facelift?

Usually, taking special supplements isn't necessary for a facelift. A healthy and varied diet already supports your recovery well. Sometimes a doctor may recommend certain vitamins or supplements, but this is only done if absolutely necessary.

Overweight with a Facelift, is this possible?

Yes, a facelift is also possible for those who are overweight. However, the effect may be less pronounced because facial fat plays a role in the final result. During a consultation, the doctor will determine whether the procedure is suitable and safe for your situation.

From what age can you have a facelift?

A facelift can be considered from around age 40, when sagging skin and wrinkles become more visible. The right age varies from person to person and depends on your skin condition and preferences.

Why can't you be alone for the first two days after a facelift?

For the first two days after a facelift, it's important to have someone with you to help. You may still feel a little dizzy from the anesthesia or pain medication, and you'll need support with daily activities like preparing food or getting up. This will help you recover more safely and with more peace of mind.

Why Does Your Face Look So Pulled Up After a Facelift

Immediately after a facelift, your face may look tight or slightly puffy due to swelling and skin tension. This gradually subsides over the following weeks, leaving a more natural and softer result.

Who is a suitable candidate for a facelift?

A facelift is suitable for people who want a natural change in their face, and want to remedy sagging that has developed over the years or after losing a lot of weight. The degree of sagging of the skin and underlying tissues determine whether a (mini) facelift is necessary. The surgeon will always assess which type of lift can give you the best results. The age for a regular facelift can range from 40 to 70 years, a mini-Lift/ S-Lift can be applied to younger as this is only excess skin in most cases. For us, quality and care is paramount, which is why we advise against surgical lifts after the age of 70. The reason is that due to age, the lower layer is often severely sagging and therefore cannot be lifted properly.

Aftercare after the Signature Lift

Get enough rest in the week after your treatment. Make sure someone can help you. Sleep on your back on 2 pillows. This reduces the chance of bleeding and swelling. It promotes healing. In the first two weeks after the treatment, you may not press, strain, lift or bend. We advise you not to smoke until the stitches are removed. Smoking increases the chance of complications. Avoid chewing solid food intensively. This puts pressure on the stitches in the face. Do not drink hot drinks, such as tea or coffee, to prevent congestion in the face. Swelling and bruising will get worse in the first three days and then slowly decrease again. It is wise to keep moving normally. This is good for the blood circulation and wound healing. Do not do heavy or strenuous work or sports activities during the first six weeks. Plan your social contacts. Stay home for a week. The treated area will look blue, swollen and bruised for the first week. The scars may also be red and swollen immediately after the treatment. This can be quite a shock. One to two weeks after a facelift, you will usually be presentable again and can resume your social activities. We advise you not to expose the scars to UV sunlight and/or the sunbed for 3 months after the operation. Avoid emotional excitement. After a few weeks, everything will be fine again.

What are the risks and complications?

With any surgical treatment, there is a risk of a complication. Therefore, it is important that you are aware of the procedure and its possible complications. There is a risk of allergic reaction, bleeding or infection. The chance of this is very small. Our instruments are single-use and of the best quality. We work with very fine needles and fine diathermy, so as to minimise trauma to the tissue. Specific complications of a facelift are nerve damage, asymmetry, hair loss, formation of hypertrophic scars and numbness of part of the face. The latter is usually not permanent.

What are disadvantages of a Signature Lift?

Not everyone is a suitable candidate. If there is (severe) sagging skin, a different, additional procedure will be necessary. As with all cosmetic procedures, the final results depend much more on the surgeon's skill than on the actual technique used. You will have small scars, but our surgeon will conceal them as best as possible.

What are advantages of the Signature Lift?

It's a treatment that addresses multiple problem areas: from chubby cheeks to a double chin. The results are more dramatic and last much longer than other face slimming treatments like Botox. Because you combine treatments, you have a single procedure and a single recovery time. It also offers a financial advantage compared to separate treatments.

Who is a suitable candidate for the Signature Lift?

Can I go home on my own after a facelift?

No, you cannot go home on your own after a facelift. Due to the anesthesia and bandages, you will need assistance. It's important that someone picks you up and stays with you for the first few days.

Is a facelift the end of the road?

No, a facelift isn't the end of the road. The aging process continues, but a facelift turns back the clock considerably. Sometimes people opt for a minor follow-up treatment later to maintain the beautiful result.
