We are SkinSurgery Clinics

Expert in the field of the Facelift

A subtle lift (Snatch Lift) of the jawline and neck for women around 40, performed by specialist Dr. Thanya Tha-In. At SkinSurgery Clinics, we guide you professionally and honestly, with a treatment plan that suits your face, life stage and wishes.

We don't believe in doing more, we believe in doing right. The Snatch Lift is perfect for women who consciously choose quality, naturalness, and a result that reflects who they are and how they feel.

During a personal consultation in The Hague or Bergschenhoek, we'll work together to determine what's best for you. Sometimes that's a Snatch Lift, sometimes a different treatment. You can always count on honest and expert advice.

You don't have to look different.
You can look the way you feel inside again.

What is a subtle facelift, the Snatch Lift?

The Snatch Lift is a refined surgical facelift of the jawline and neck, developed for women around 40 who want to maintain their fresh appearance without altering their face. No heavy or pulled-back results, just a natural refinement that makes you look like yourself—only brighter and more rested.

The Snatch Lift is a subtle surgical treatment that targets sagging jawline and neck. Unlike injectables, which add volume, a Snatch Lift corrects the source of the sagging.

We work at a deeper level beneath the skin, where the jawline and neck lose their firmness. By re-supporting and repositioning these structures, a sharply defined jawline and a smooth, youthful neck emerge.

Your facial expressions are fully preserved.
You remain yourself - only fresher, more balanced and naturally refined.

A natural, subtle facelift for women around 40 years old

Many women between the ages of 35 and 55 find that fillers no longer have the desired effect, or even produce a result that is too heavy or unnatural. At the same time, a traditional facelift often feels too invasive.

The Snatch Lift, a subtle mini facelift for women, is an ideal intermediate step: more effective than injectables, but more subtle than a more extensive facelift.

Reasons to choose a Facelift Snatch Lift are:

  • Beginning sagging of the jawline
  • A less tight neck
  • Blurring of the transition between face and neck
  • The desire to use less or no fillers
  • Need a natural result without a "filled in" face

Does this sound like you? Then the Snatch Lift might be right for you. At SkinSurgery Clinics, we'll guide you professionally and honestly, with a treatment plan tailored to your face, stage of life, and wishes.

Dr Thanya Tha-In

Specialized by Dr. Thanya Tha-In

The Snatch Lift is performed by Dr. Thanya Tha-In, a specialist in refined and natural facial surgery. Her approach focuses on anatomical precision, balance, and expression.

The goal is not to change someone, but to restore contours to their original state. By focusing on refined lifting techniques for her clients, she achieves results that are barely recognizable as surgery. Scars are minimal and strategically placed. Recovery is relatively short compared to a traditional facelift.

Clients consciously choose the expertise of surgeon Dr. Thanya Tha-In when they want a gentle correction without an exaggerated effect.

How does a Facelift Snatch Lift work?

1.

Consultation with the doctor/surgeon

1.

Consultation with the doctor/surgeon

A Snatch Lift is always preceded by several consultations with our surgeon. During the free, no-obligation consultation, you'll have ample opportunity to ask questions and discuss your wishes and expectations for the treatment. Our surgeon, Dr. Thanya Tha-In, will assess whether a facelift is suitable for you and which type of facelift will provide the best results. You'll receive comprehensive information about the facelift procedure and an explanation of the entire treatment process, from pre-operative care to aftercare. You'll also be told what you can expect from the treatment. Photos are taken beforehand and compared with the post-operative photos, allowing you to clearly see the natural-looking results of the facelift.

To understand where you are coming from and why you want a facelift, we like to take the time to get to know you well first. The most important thing about the whole treatment is that we understand what your wishes are. Do you want a natural result, appropriate to your age? What are your important pluses and minuses? How is the symmetry of your face? By getting to know you, we understand what you want. In the end, it's all about you. You get to take your time with your decision. We rebalance your innerbeauty and your outer beauty.

Treatment

2.

Treatment

A subtle lift, the Snatch Lift is an outpatient procedure that doesn't require hospitalization. After the procedure and a short rest period, you can return home. You're not yet allowed to drive yourself, so please bring someone with you to our clinic or arrange for someone to pick you up after the procedure.

At our clinic, we perform various facelift treatments under anesthesia. The treatment time depends on the type of facelift. The Snatch Lift takes about 1.5 hours and lifts only the skin of the jawline and neck. The first results are visible after 1 to 2 weeks. The final, natural-looking result will be visible after several months to a year. The results of the Snatch Lift last 3 to 5 years, depending on your lifestyle.

Aftercare

3.

Aftercare

We're happy to guide you through the entire treatment and healing process. We work with a specially developed pre- and aftercare protocol, so you're fully prepared and can look forward to a successful recovery. Your face will be slightly swollen and feel tight for a few weeks after the facelift. After your treatment, you'll receive a medication schedule so you know exactly when to take which medication. The swelling and any bruising will disappear on their own within a few weeks. Get plenty of rest for the first one to two weeks and sleep on your back with an extra pillow. This helps with swelling, reduces the risk of post-operative bleeding, and promotes the healing process. Avoid pressing, straining, bending, or lifting for the first three weeks, and avoid strenuous physical exertion for the first six weeks.

You'll achieve the best results and fastest healing with a healthy lifestyle. We recommend quitting smoking four weeks before and four weeks after treatment. We advise against drinking hot beverages and chewing solid food intensively during the first week to prevent facial congestion; this can put pressure on the sutures in your face. Continue to move normally after the Snatch Lift to maintain good circulation and help the wound heal quickly. After about two weeks, you'll be presentable again and can resume your daily social activities. Do not expose your facial skin to bright sunlight and avoid tanning beds or saunas for the first three months.

Risks

Risks

A Snatch Lift is a common surgical procedure at SkinSurgery Clinics, with a very low risk of complications. In some cases, an allergic reaction, postoperative bleeding, or infection may occur. However, this is rare because our highly qualified and experienced specialists use the latest treatment techniques and the best instruments.

Occasionally, specific complications may occur, such as nerve damage, asymmetry, hypertrophic (red, itchy) scars, hair loss, or numbness of part of your face. These are usually not permanent. If in doubt, contact your doctor at SkinSurgery Clinics immediately. Our doctors and surgeons are easily accessible.

Who is the subtle facelift, Snatch Lift, suitable for?

  • See sagging in the jawline and neck
  • Maintaining their beautiful face with injectables
  • Prefer not to work with a lot of fillers (anymore)

Frequently asked questions

Have a question? We're happy to help. Feel free to contact us.

Is a Facelift Worth It?

For many people, a facelift is worthwhile because it provides long-lasting and natural results for sagging skin and deep wrinkles. It can give you a fresher, younger appearance and increased self-confidence, provided you have realistic expectations and choose an experienced doctor.

What is a facelift?

A facelift is a treatment performed when the skin of your face is sagging due to age. During the procedure, the skin and underlying muscle and connective tissue is tightened and lifted. This gives your face, neck and jawline a youthful contour.Watch our videos below where Dr Thanya Tha-In explains exactly what a facelift entails.

What types of lift are there?

Face slimming: this unique treatment consists of a combination treatment of liposuction of the neck and buccal fat removal. Face slimming is suitable for people with a full face who want more definition in their face. This procedure is recommended when the skin quality is firm. By performing extensive liposuction of the neck, combined with buccal fat removal, the right accents are added to the face so that your face looks slimmer and more youthful. The S-Lift: only the skin of the cheek is lifted, which is why the procedure is also called a 'mini lift' or 'mini facelift'. This technique is suitable up to a certain age and if the sagging is limited to the top layer of the skin. If there is also sagging of the underlying tissue layers, the MACS-Lift or a facelift will be a better choice. The MACS lift: not only is the skin of the cheek lifted, as with the S-Lift or mini-lift, but the underlying supporting tissue is also lifted (the SMAS layer). This technique is suitable when the face is sagging on multiple layers. This is often from the age of 45 to 50. The jawline and neck are not included in a MACS lift. Facelift: A facelift involves making an incision in front of the ear and behind the ear. The skin and the underlying connective tissue layer (the SMAS layer) are lifted. A facelift is a more extensive lift than a MACS lift. A facelift involves lifting the jawline. This lift can be performed using various techniques, such as a plication of the SMAS layer or a deep plane facelift. Your surgeon will personally advise you on which type is most suitable for you. Face and neck lift: a face/neck lift involves making an incision in front of the ear, behind the ear and under the chin. The cheeks, jawline and neck are lifted. The underlying layers, namely the SMAS layer and the neck muscles (the platysma muscles), are also lifted using a special technique. In this way, the cheeks, jawline and neck are lifted in a natural and sustainable way so that you can enjoy the result for longer. Neck lift with platysmaplasty: With a neck lift with platysmaplasty, the focus is entirely on the neck. An incision is made behind the ears and under the chin. After extensive liposuction of the neck, the neck muscles are lifted by suturing them together (platysmaplasty). This gives you a youthful, beautiful jawline without scars in front of the ears. The face is not lifted. Signature Lift: A Signature lift is a unique facial lift performed by Dr. Tha-in. It consists of a combination treatment of buccal fat removal, liposuction of the neck and then lifting the face and neck. This lift not only tightens your face but also adds accents at the right points that make you naturally more beautiful in a defined way. Dr. Tha-in will be happy to discuss this with you personally.

Should I sleep upright after a facelift?

Yes, it's recommended to sleep upright or semi-upright for the first few nights. This helps reduce swelling and bruising and promotes a smooth recovery.

Overweight with a Facelift, is this possible?

Yes, a facelift is also possible for those who are overweight. However, the effect may be less pronounced because facial fat plays a role in the final result. During a consultation, the doctor will determine whether the procedure is suitable and safe for your situation.

From what age can you have a facelift?

A facelift can be considered from around age 40, when sagging skin and wrinkles become more visible. The right age varies from person to person and depends on your skin condition and preferences.

Why can't you be alone for the first two days after a facelift?

For the first two days after a facelift, it's important to have someone with you to help. You may still feel a little dizzy from the anesthesia or pain medication, and you'll need support with daily activities like preparing food or getting up. This will help you recover more safely and with more peace of mind.

Why Does Your Face Look So Pulled Up After a Facelift

Immediately after a facelift, your face may look tight or slightly puffy due to swelling and skin tension. This gradually subsides over the following weeks, leaving a more natural and softer result.

Who is a suitable candidate for a facelift?

A facelift is suitable for people who want a natural change in their face, and want to remedy sagging that has developed over the years or after losing a lot of weight. The degree of sagging of the skin and underlying tissues determine whether a (mini) facelift is necessary. The surgeon will always assess which type of lift can give you the best results. The age for a regular facelift can range from 40 to 70 years, a mini-Lift/ S-Lift can be applied to younger as this is only excess skin in most cases. For us, quality and care is paramount, which is why we advise against surgical lifts after the age of 70. The reason is that due to age, the lower layer is often severely sagging and therefore cannot be lifted properly.

What are the risks and complications?

With any surgical treatment, there is a chance of a complication. Therefore, it is important to be aware of the procedure and its possible complications. There is the risk of an allergic reaction, bleeding or infection. The chance of this is very small. Our instruments are single-use and of the best quality. We work with very fine needles and fine diathermy, so as to minimise trauma to the tissue as much as possible.Specific complications of a facelift are nerve damage, asymmetry, hair loss, formation of hypertrophic scars and numbness of part of your face. The latter is usually not permanent.

What is a facelift against pendulous cheeks?

A facelift is a treatment performed when the skin of your face is sagging due to age. During the procedure, the skin and underlying muscle and connective tissue are tightened and lifted. This gives your face, neck and jawline a youthful contour. Watch our videos below where Dr Thanya Tha-In explains exactly what a facelift entails.

Aftercare after facelift

Get enough rest in the week after your treatment. Make sure someone can help you. Sleep on your back on 2 pillows. This reduces the chance of bleeding and swelling. It promotes healing. In the first two weeks after the treatment, you may not press, strain, lift or bend. We advise you not to smoke until the stitches are removed. Smoking increases the chance of complications. Avoid chewing solid food intensively. This puts pressure on the stitches in the face. Do not drink hot drinks, such as tea or coffee, to prevent congestion in the face. Swelling and bruising will get worse in the first three days and then slowly decrease again. It is wise to keep moving normally. This is good for the blood circulation and wound healing. Do not do heavy or strenuous work or sports activities during the first six weeks. Plan your social contacts. Stay home for a week. The treated area will look blue, swollen and bruised for the first week. The scars may also be red and swollen immediately after the treatment. This can be quite a shock. One to two weeks after a facelift, you will usually be presentable again and can resume your social activities. We advise you not to expose the scars to UV sunlight and/or the sunbed for 3 months after the operation. Avoid emotional excitement. After a few weeks, everything will be fine again.

Can I go home on my own after a facelift?

No, you cannot go home on your own after a facelift. Due to the anesthesia and bandages, you will need assistance. It's important that someone picks you up and stays with you for the first few days.

Is a facelift the end of the road?

No, a facelift isn't the end of the road. The aging process continues, but a facelift turns back the clock considerably. Sometimes people opt for a minor follow-up treatment later to maintain the beautiful result.
